A week of workouts for me and my unhealthy obsession.

Good Morning Lovelies!!  Today I thought I would give you a week in the life of me, as far as my fitness regime goes!  A lot of people have asked about my JM workouts and what ones I do and when I do them.  So here goes!

About 30 some days ago, I decided to start 30-day shred.  When I went to order it, I saw Ripped in 30.  I can't believe I had never heard of it before.  I decided I would do my own little hybrid workout.  I decided I would do both workouts, just not in the same day.

Monday: 30-day shred and tabata.  For those of you that are't familiar with tabata, this is a quick and KILLER workout.  It is HIIT, high intensity interval training.  Even after you are done with the workout, your body continues to burn calories up to 48 hours.  Now how can you beat that!  The workout I do is called plyometrics tabata and it is taught by Jill Coleman.  I have Xfinity Cable, so I get it for free, off of On Demand.  It takes 20 minutes and you are one hot mess after! What you do is one exercise for 20 seconds, rest for 10 and repeat 4 times.  You HAVE to go balls to the wall! If you aren't feeling like you want to puke, you aren't doing it right! :)

Tuesday: Ripped in 30 and kickboxing.  I do a 20 minute one from On Demand and it too, is taught by Jill Coleman.

Wed. 30-day shred and 24 minute Jill Coleman kickboxing.

Thursday: 30-day shred and tabata.

Friday: Ripped in 30 and 20 minute kickboxing

Saturday: 30-day shred and taebo.  I like to burn some extra calories on the weekend so I do taebo, and it is about 40 minutes long.  I got the dvd off of Amazon for super cheap.  I love Billy Blanks and never get bored with this workout.

Sunday: Rest.  Well I TRY to rest.  If I went to the movies or ate out too much, I will do the 24 minute kickboxing workout. BUT...I do take a day off from JM!

So there you have it!  This is how I have gotten to where I am as far as leaning out and muscle definition.  I only use 3-5 pound weights.

Here are the results....arms are definitely a little bigger and more toned.  Legs do appear to be smoother.  Like I tightened some of the skin and the cellulite isn't as noticeable????  Plus I think they might be a tad trimmer???

Now on to my unhealthy "I HATE MY THIGHS" obsession.  I have always hated my legs.  That is where I carried so much of my weight, when I was big.  I mean I was well proportioned BUT...the legs were what always bothered me.  I hated that here I was tall, and had bad legs.  I wanted super model legs.  But come on, don't we all....LOL!
I can remember only wearing long elastic skirts in the summer or pants.  God was I hot and not in the sexy way the heat way! :) This year will actually be the first summer, that I wear shorts that are not Bermuda length.  I have decided that I think I am FINALLY ready to take the plunge.  I just remember in the past, when I would wear shorts, they would always ride up. OMG and I would get a rash!!!  I just can't seem to get that image out of my head.  Nothing like walking and having to constantly pick your shorts out of what appears to be your crotch!  Plus I was married to a total douche that told me I had peanut crushing thighs.  Ummm...so you are calling me an elephant???  It is just so hard to rid that from my brain.  To this day, I do not see me, as others do.  On most days, I see the old Lori.  It's sad really.  I will tell myself that there is NO way I am that thin. Even when I am standing there in a size 27 jean.  I ordered some pants from Old Navy in a 6 and they are too big, but I still tell myself, no that is just a mistake on the sizing.  Yes, I know, I need to just get over it!!! I am getting there.  I am truly at a point where I no longer see myself as "fat", I just don't see myself as I really look.  Being on IG and posting #ootd has HELPED SO MUCH!  Also the progress pics, helps tremendously!!  Like they say, pictures don't lie.  I also only try and edit with only the "autocorrect" function when posting progress pics.  I want it to be the real deal! Now on te #ootd pics, I try and make the colors bright, so people can see the details better.  Now if they come out with an edit button that gives you an instant boob lift and botox, you can bet your sweet ass, I will use them!  Just keeping it real, ladies!

I also want to thank all of you for following me.  I consider you all my friends and adore you!  If you comment, I try so hard to comment back.  So if I have missed you, it was not intentional.  I hope you are all having  great week!  If you ever have private questions, feel free to email me at forlor4@gmail.com.  I promise I will get back to you!  Oh and I am now fattofit41 on myfitnesspal if you want to follow me there as well!  My stuff is public so you can see what I eat and drink (wine duh).  And I also log my workouts!

In closing, here is my #ootd, this sweater is being worn today, in case I forget who I am.  At least the "L" will give me a clue!  My baby boy has been sick and we had a freaking bird stuck in the attic, last night.  Needless to say, I am SLEEP DEPRIVED!! :)

Much love to you all,
Lori xoxo

  7. Just recently found your blog, thru IG, and you are really inspirational! I really loved your earlier post, about weighing, and how, as a taller chick, the numbers kinda mess with your head, I'm 5'8 and I know exactly what you mean! I also only workout from home, with treadmill and dvd's. I'm doing the Brazil Butt Lift now...but you make me wanna give JM a whirl, I LOVE your arms!!! :)

  9. I just found your blog and LOVE IT! You are such an inspiration and a GREAT reminder that big things can happen at home with JM or a dvd. I needed to be reminded that you do not have to have a gym membership to make things happen.

    Thank you!
